New York City Movie Theaters to Reopen in Early March – Hollywood Reporter

Theaters in New York City will be allowed to reopen at 25 percent capacity, with no more than 50 people. Masks, assigned seating and advanced air filtration will be required.

Eleven months after being shut down in the early days of the novel coronavirus pandemic, movie theaters in New York City will be permitted to reopen.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the decision during a press event on Monday. Theaters in New York City will be allowed to reopen at 25 percent capacity, with no more than 50 people. Masks, assigned seating and advanced air filtration will be required.

Movie theaters outside of New York City have been allowed to be open since October 2020, with similar restrictions in place.
